Verity Book Review

📚 Verity

⭐ Rating: 4.7/5

💭 My Honest Thoughts (This One Felt… Wrong in a Good Way)

Okay… I don’t even know how to explain this properly.

This book didn’t just feel like a thriller…
it felt disturbing.

Like… the kind of story that makes you uncomfortable but you still can’t stop reading.

So the story follows Lowen, a struggling writer. She gets this opportunity to complete a famous author Verity’s unfinished book series because Verity is in a very bad condition after an accident.

Sounds simple, right?

Yeah… but it’s not.

🧠 That Slow Build of Fear

When Lowen goes to Verity’s house to go through her notes and drafts, everything feels a little… off.

The house is too quiet.
Verity is always there… but not really present.

And then… Lowen finds something she was never supposed to find.

A manuscript.

📖 The Manuscript (This Changed Everything)

I swear… from the moment the manuscript starts, the whole vibe of the book changes.

It’s dark.
It’s personal.
And honestly… it’s kind of scary.

You’re reading something that feels too real, like you’re invading someone’s private thoughts.

And the worst part?

You don’t know if it’s truth… or just a story.

😶‍🌫️ That Constant Uneasy Feeling

While reading this, I had this weird tension the whole time.

Like something bad is about to happen… but you don’t know when.

Even normal scenes feel uncomfortable.

And Verity’s presence?
Even when she’s doing nothing… it feels like she’s watching.

😳 The Mind Game (Truth vs Lie)

This is what I loved the most.

The book keeps messing with your head:

  • Is the manuscript real?
  • Is Verity actually what she seems?
  • Can Lowen trust what she’s reading?

At one point, I was like:
“Okay I know the truth now.”

And then again:
“Wait… maybe I don’t.”

🤯 The Ending (I’m Still Confused… In a Good Way)

I won’t spoil anything but…

The ending doesn’t give you full peace.

It leaves you thinking… questioning… doubting everything.

And honestly?
I kept replaying it in my head even after finishing.

👍 What I Loved:

  • Super addictive — I couldn’t stop reading
  • The manuscript part is insanely gripping
  • Dark, emotional, and disturbing in a unique way
  • Keeps you questioning till the end

👎 What I Didn’t Love:

  • Some parts can feel too disturbing
  • Not for sensitive readers
  • Ending can feel confusing (but that’s also its strength)

🤔 Should You Read It?

If you like:

  • Dark psychological thrillers
  • Stories that make you uncomfortable
  • Twists that mess with your head

Then YES.

But if you want something light, romantic, or peaceful…
this is definitely not the book for you 😅

💬 Final Feeling (Real One)

This book made me feel weird.

Not scared exactly… but uneasy.

Like… you know something is wrong, but you can’t prove it.

And honestly, I think that’s what makes it so powerful.
